Doodle In Mind
This is about as near to real mind reading as you can get.
You explain to your audience that you are going to conduct a little experiment in ESP. You take a pen and paper and ask your spectator to think of an object but not say anything. You concentrate for a while, then without saying a word or fishing, you make a drawing on the piece of paper before placing it face-down on the table.
You now ask your spectator to reveal the object she was thinking of.... amazingly when she turns over the piece of paper you have drawn the exact same thing.
No fishing, no peeking, no special pads or thumb writers. You draw your doodle and place it on the table, never touching it again. Only then does your spectator reveal her choice.
