Description
The Bell, Book and Candle
A Witchfinder Magic Trick
In the 16th Century a wave of witch hysteria swept England, and Mathew Hopkins set himself up as a self styled Witchfinder General. Hopkins used the traditional tools of exorcism in his rituals, a bell, a book (usually a bible), and a candle.
In this chilling effect you play the witchfinder and your spectator gets to play the poor wretch accused of being a witch. Three cards depicting a bell, a book and a candle are shown, the victim must choose one. You show an envelope, if they choose the object predicted in the envelope it is proof that they are a witch. The poor wretch makes a choice, their fate is sealed, you open the envelope and reveal the same item chosen by the spectator.
Keep this in your pocket and you are ready to perform anytime.
No sleights or funny handling. There is only one card in the envelope
You will receive: 4 cards (300g card uncoated) measuring 8cm X 5cm.
A manilla envelope for the prediction.
