Five slips of paper are handed out to your audience, on four of them they write the names of famous celebrities who are still alive today, on the fifth slip of paper they must write the name of a person who has died. You now hand out five identical glass bottles, each spectator must fold their piece of paper up and seal it inside a glass bottle. Finally all the glass bottles are placed in a bag and mixed up before being returned to you.
You now take the bottles out one at a time and hold them against your forehead, using your powers to decide if the person inside is dead or alive. Eventually you place four bottles aside, keeping just one. When all the bottles are opened you are shown to have found the one dead celebrity, almost as if you were in communication with their departed spirit.
As an alternative presentation you can write the names of the celebrities and seal them unseen in the bottles, your spectator now rejects four before finally choosing the bottle with the dead celebrity inside.
This is a great routine that can be performed as a serious mentalism effect.
