You ask a dog owner to come up and help you find a name for your next pet. You show eight cards that have been cut in half making sixteen pieces, each with half a pet name on it. There are no duplicates or double cards. Your helper can see all the faces of the cards before you turn them over and mix them around.
You wave your hand over the cards, trying to feel an attachment to one, before removing a front half card. Your spectator must now do the same to find a second name half, a completely free choice. She moves her hand over the card pieces before removing one she feels somehow attracted to.
When the two halves are turned over they match perfectly to make a pet name, and you show your spectator how no other half would go with her random choice to make a proper name.
No forcing at all, your spectator has a completely free choice in this self-working effect.
