A children's magic trick where they have to match information about different countries.
Can be performed as an educational magic trick for children where they learn about different parts of the world.
You show a packet of cards saying that they represent five different countries and printed on them are items typical to those countries, two items for each country - for example the Flamenco dancer and the paella are both typical of Spain.
Your hand the cards to your helper and they give them a thorough mixing up until they are convinced that nobody could know which card is which. You now hand them the compass card and they use it again and again to sort the cards into random pairs.
Amazingly, when they turn the cards over, each pair is a well known object from the same country - not just one matching pair but all five.
This effect has lots of fun and participation for example you can get the audience guessing loudly who would wear a sombrero, where do you find gondolas?
**Please Note** The cards are a slightly lighter cardstock than normal playing cards.
