For years, Paris lived in fear of an unseen predator. Throughout the 1960s, a ruthless serial killer stalked the city's shadows, leaving behind a signature so chilling that it became the stuff of nightmares. The newspapers gave the murderer a single name... The Undertaker.

Every victim was discovered arranged with disturbing precision, their body laid out as though prepared for a final viewing. Resting beside each corpse was a cold, clinical mortuary identity tag, carefully tied around the victim's toe. No fingerprints. No witnesses. No trace of the killer.

The police pursued countless leads, interviewed endless suspects, and watched as the years slipped by. The Undertaker remained a ghost.

Then, in a final act of desperation, investigators turned to someone they could never admit to using officially... a psychic detective.

Tonight, your spectator will step into that role.

Five original identity tags, believed to have been left by The Undertaker, are placed onto the table. You say that you will come back to them later..

Next, ten photographs are introduced, each bearing the name of a person once considered a prime suspect in the investigation. Your spectator freely examines the suspects before making an entirely unrestricted choice. The selected photograph is isolated from the others.

There is no changing their mind. No influence. No second chance.

Only then are the forgotten identity tags gathered and turned over one by one.

Slowly... impossibly... they reveal a single name. The name of the very suspect your spectator chose.

Was it coincidence... intuition... or has the shadow of The Undertaker finally allowed its secret to be uncovered?

Everything can now be examined.

This effect is so easy to perform with no strange counting or funny moves.

The killer is not the same person each time.
